This stage cannot be described through a single chronological thread. During the years of my professional maturity, my working life unfolded between Italy and Romania along three parallel paths: my activity as an independent consultant in Italy; my research collaboration with CNR, which later became an institutional position; and my return to Romanian university teaching, first at Ovidius University and then at Politehnica University of Bucharest. Around these paths were encounters, friendships, and cultural landmarks that give this period a dimension broader than the strictly professional one.
Three parallel paths
- Industrial work in Italy: consulting, software projects, roles as architect, technical director and general manager, professional training, and independent work. See also Industry.
- CNR research and digital health: collaboration with CNR as a scholarship holder and consultant and, from 2006, as an employee, working on medical informatics, digital ecosystems, and digital health. See also Medical Informatics and Digital Health.
- Professor in Romania: the periodic return to Ovidius University and then to Politehnica University of Bucharest through FILS, new courses, doctoral supervision, and the restoration of academic continuity in a transnational form. See also Teaching.
Structure of the period
Chronologically, this stage can be divided into two broad periods, but within each of them the three directions — industry, research, and university teaching — overlap and influence one another.
