CRF Manager (Case Record Form Manager) is a solution for managing clinical trials Case Record Forms (CRFs) used in medical research field that takes anvantage of the new Web and Service Oriented Architectures and the latest development technologies provided by Microsoft. CRF Manager is an Electronic Data Collection (EDC) solution that gives the possibility of defining and generating Electronic Case Record Forms (E-CRF) - an alternative to classic paper based version - and deploying them for completion purposes on the web through various methods.

The solution consists of two main modules: CRF Manager for Coordinating Centre and other one CRF Manager for Study Centres.
The Coordinating Centre module also exposes a Web Service containing operations for retrieving CRF definitions and uploading CRF completions. Having this functionality created, another pilot module that can be deployed on personal digital assistants (PDAs) PocketPc devices was developed and by using which the completion can be made even offline after which data are synchronized.
